Welcome to the IDTM Web Academy

IDTM WEB is the Web Academy of the Academic Institute for International Development of Transfusion Medicine (IDTM) of the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG) at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

IDTM is an academic institute which has as main activity a post graduate master programme: Master of Management of Transfusion Medicine (MMTM).

The objective of IDTM is to provide a modular post master programme of approximately 2 years for potential leaders of a bloodbank in countries with developing economies. The first modules take place via internet (E-learning). After completion of the e-learning part the students will follow a real-time exposure of 5 months in the Netherlands. The total course is concluded with a graduation assignment and Masters degree and diploma of the University Medical Center Groningen.

IDTM is managed by a managing director. The Board of IDTM exists of different disciplines (Sanquin Blood Supply Foundation, University Medical Centre Groningen and Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen).
